What do you think of my new "Kaname Kuran" header? It's pretty nifty (I think), I'm not really good at making banners and headers and all that graphicy artistic-y stuff.... *sweat*
(Even though I took a course in Graphic Design, my teachers felt I wasn't really suited to it because I don't have a sense of 'style')

I think maybe my problem is I clutter a page up with stuff,  but to me a big blank black space looks UGLY!! I'd prefer to fill it with blood and hot vampires and Japanese text than just leave it bleak and black... ._. Maybe this is why they considered me no good, less is more and all that!

Either way I really like it and it's here to stay, I made a few variations of it but there's very little difference between each version..

Either way I'm just glad I finally designed a header I like!! D: I've spent far too long using this blog with just a blank black frame with my user-image.

OMFG the 90's are haunting me!!!

Okay, we step back some... 7 - 8, maybe even, 9 years...

 

To the life of teenager / youthful Ji.

 

Anyway, this girl had a rather strange tomboy lifestyle. She likes video games, she likes boys toys, she likes hanging out with guys (and not thinking about dating them - huge generalisation there, appologies) and... she likes.... Wrestling...

 

Back then, in ye olden times, the World Wrestling Entertainment company was called the WWF (World Wrestling Federation) and it was good. The PPV's (Pay-Per-Views, that I never paid for) were good (Armageddon 1999), the storylines were strange and yet addictive (Ministry of Darkness, Corporate Ministry), the wrestlers were amusing (DX) and the food was great (WWF shop / resturant, NYC).

Then it changed.

The "WWF" - World Wildlife Federation, sued the Wrestling Federation and they had to change their name. The resturant closed down, the storylines started to suck and the teenager Ji lost her interest.

 

However.

 

August 2007

TV at the Skyline Hotel is lack lustre at BEST - it sucks frankly. There was VERY little to watch other than dual episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond and other strange sitcoms as well as the BIZZARE Big Brother 8. One day Ji's mother happens to be channel flicking and discovers an episode of Smackdown. Now called WWE Smackdown!

 

And it was watched.

 

Triple H was out due to injury and the best storylines they could come up with was some junk about a Bastard child. It confused 20+ Ji who wondered how Wrestling could suck so bad. Then they announced it - the return of Triple H - the King of Kings, "Rex Regum" (according to the Latin people on Yahoo! Answers).

The Ji became interested, the Ji started actively seeking out the Smackdowns, the Raws and the Saturday Night Main Events whislt on holiday.

Then she bought the videogame.

 

And it became so, the 90's crept back up on the Ji and before she knew it she was a Wrestling fan once more... the HORROR!!!!!

Today I got a big ass box from Singapore!! <3333

Inside the big ass box from Signapore were 12 books, 7 white and 5 black!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^o^ I HAVE MY LOKI BOOKS!! SQUEAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yush, I am happy (if you couldn't tell), however it seems every silver lining comes with a cloud of doom. I have been also trying to pick up a copy of the Passionate Pilgrim (a Matantei Loki art book) to complete my artbook collection. I thought I would get it from a place called Sasuga Bookstore, a company in Florida. I e-mailed them last night as my order has been some what "complicated" (their system didn't work, so I had to place the order manually - aka: not via the website).

I e-mailed for an update and their reply was "Sorry do you have an order number?" Which of course I don't because the item was not ordered via the website, so I forwarded them the Paypal details - we'll see what happens next eh?

Hopefully they remember and give me an order number for futre refference or they refund me or something....

 

either way I'll kick their asses if they try to wipe their hands and steal my money >.<

 

Still! Reading 12 books of Loki-goodness isn't bad! ^.^

 

Overall it's a good Ji-day!

 

.... though I just got some bad news from my best friend.. I hope I can help her through - her life isn't easy right now.... but I'll try to help her anyway I can!

A trip to Menos-Mart

 

The lesser Arrancar got bored easily, they knew they would not enjoy the honours of being Esparda and they knew they would die in battle. For such faliures Aizen did not hold contempt so much as despair - how do you deal with useless prototypes? Without killing them and making him look as evil as he felt inside...

 

Then it had come to him, inspired by the Human world and its habbit of making the everyday person useful in some way to others. A supermarket. The hollows and lesser Arrancar could go and steal stock from the mortal world and they would have something to do rather than just lay around looking moody.

 

Moody was bad for morale.

 

Hence the Menos-Mart was born, the Lesser-Arrancar seemed delighted with their uniforms and the idea of roles (there had been much fighting and many Cero's to determine store manager) But in the end it was decided and the store started to come together much like a demented commertial puzzle.

 

Aizen told them the kinds of things supermarkets sold and suggested that they also got stock that would excite Hollow customers too. He suggested they ran surveys when the Hollows were busy hidding in Hueco Mundo. He also suggested they tried to get some 'higher-class' clients (In his mind VastoLorde).

 

They spent days arguing over a slogan; all good stores have slogans. Then even longer arguing over the logo and a banner. Aizen was now between despair and self-loathing. This idea was just not working how he planned, but at least they were doing SOMETHING.

He sat back in his chair, thinking that he could really use some hair gel and possibly some tea.

Why wasn't the damn Menos-Mart open yet?

 

6 weeks later, the grand opening commenced, a crowd of Menos stood at the very back admiring the tiny store, wondering how they were going to get in there. Smaller Hollows piled on top of each other to watch the black ribbon as it was cut - they really needed to stock sissors for this... eventually a Menos bit the ribbon out of impatients - it was better than nothing.

 

Menos Mart was open!

Aizen could at last rejoice and buy hair gel..... they sold porn too..... hmmm, that was Gin's birthday present sorted out for the next few years....

It's been a while...

Been a long time since I posted in the Blog, sorry about that...

 

Life has been fairly hectic with coursework, deadlines, exams and the burn-off from the list of maddness. So I've kind of been in my own dazed world, still catching bits of bleach here and there (though not reading the manga so much.... Must go back and do that...)

 

In other Bleach news; I got Heat the Soul 4 - pretty sweet game. Problem is; it's WAAAY too much like the others. Heat the Soul 3 (HtS 3 from here on in), absolutely killed me to fully complete. I am not kidding you - I was one of the crazy people who had to drag every single character around that mission mode so that they were all 100% affection for me... yay Bleach people love me!!

The same this is going to happen in Heat the Soul 4 (HtS 4 from now on).... I can just see it; There are two modes I have to play. Character Master mode and Story / Mission mode - Story mode shouldn't take _too_ long afterall it's just like the events of the Manga (I've been through it once, but now I need to polish off my efforts to get A ranks then S ranks...)

My main problem is with Character Master Mode; that is just going to take FOREVER. I have to drag ALL those charactes through crazy battles just to leveling to lvl 20? I've, naturally, already got Aizen to lvl 20 and he's now got 10'000 EXP (but where does it end, will I have to get Aizen 999'999 EXP?) @o@ oh the maddness...

 

<3 Can't wait to unlock Aizen-Taicho and not just Evil Bad Criminal Aizen XD I like Aizen-Taicho.. though I do like Traitor-Aizen too.. (Or Terrorist Aizen, both work considering he is plotting mass genocide with the intent to kill a single being...)

 

Aaanyway; HtS 4 is pretty good large selection of characters (some were just lazy; EX Chado / Inoue) and a lot of the characters just have their same moveset (most of the Bankai's and returning characters really) but the new characters are fun (And broken) and the old characters are typical (and some nerfed - Aizen again)....

 

I miss my combo in to Black Coffin T.T Black Coffin doesn't hit their feet anymore!! *sob*

 

Oh well!!

 

In other news....

 

hmm I bought Final Fantasy Fables Choco Tales... It's fun!!! Go buy it and play it! It's a lot of fun!! <333

I had to write up what came from the Royal Mail today.... Are you ready? Kyaaa they're so cool and I'm sooo happy! >w< *Excited*

My ARTBOOKS came!! *o* They're brilliant! I'm so glad I got them - I ordered 5 in total and 3 made it today! >w< They're all Matantei Loki Ragnarok (The Mythical Detective Loki) and they're wonderful!

>w< I still have the Manga/Anime Guide and Perfect guide to come but for now these are just wonderful. Sakura Kinoshita has an AMAZING art style - I strongly suggest you go on Ebay and look up her art books they are worth every $ (tho I only paid at most $24 for one book which = £12 here.)

 

If these books were on sale at my local import store(s) they would DEFINATELY be £45 a go - they charge silly money (Silly thing is I would pay it *o*)

 

Unlike some artbooks where I'm left feeling unhappy at the lack of images (Or just the reproduction of images I've seen), these books have a great range and a mix of styles - black and white, monochrome, full colour ^_^

 

Overall 100% happy with my buys! <3
